3D data production in Asia
Offshore production in Bali.
The 3D data production operation in Bali, Indonesia, is an independent production unit established by Matthias Müggler during his time at HMQ. Today, it works in partnership with the SEU Group's companies. Over 80 specialists, including engineers and architects, work there on 3D modeling and data processing. The team's core expertise is processing 3D point clouds from laser scans and drone flights. Project management, responsibility for quality, and client relationships remain in Switzerland.
The time difference offers an advantage in day-to-day business. When the working day begins in Switzerland, the team in Bali is already half a day ahead. This shortens turnaround times for projects requiring intensive 3D data production.
For SEU's Swiss subsidiaries, this provides additional capacity for time-consuming and labor-intensive design and modeling work. This capacity is available from the day a company joins the group, without the need to hire additional staff.
A perspective from HMQ's Board of Directors
Why HMQ combines production in Switzerland with additional capacity in Bali.
"The production facility in Bali was established out of necessity. For several years, Switzerland has faced a shortage of qualified specialists, particularly in architecture and 3D modeling. (…) Bali was the solution. There is a wealth of talent there, and we were able to build a team of over 80 specialists. (…) Without Bali, we would not have the same capacity to meet the growing demand from our Swiss clients."
